NP CJSC ELEKTROMASH was established in 1959 as a plant based on electrical repair workshops. Specialized in the production of electrical machines. It produced diesel synchronous generators with a capacity of 630-1000 kW with a static excitation system, synchronous motors with a capacity of 400 and 630 kW, the largest in the USSR explosion-proof electric motors of the VAO series with a capacity of up to 2000 kW, power three-phase voltage stabilizers, converter transformers, as well as consumer goods. NP CJSC Elektromash is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment for enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, mining, processing industries and energy.
The enterprise has developed and mastered more than 600 types and modifications of explosion-proof and general industrial asynchronous electric motors, synchronous electric motors and generators, voltage stabilizers and transformers, as well as over 70 types of household and household products.
Electrical equipment manufactured by NP CJSC Elektromash is installed in coal mines of the main coal-producing basins of the CIS countries, oil and gas industry enterprises, oil and gas pipelines, thermal and nuclear power plants. At the plant, both the modernization of mass-produced products and the development and production of new series are constantly being carried out in all directions. In 2010, new series of explosion-proof motors VAO7 and VASO7 were delivered as serial production to replace those produced by VAO4 and VASO4. In the new series, original, both design and technological solutions are used, which allow obtaining certain advantages with similar engines.
NP CJSC Elektromash was awarded in 1971 - by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the successful implementation of the 8th five-year plan and the development of the production of new types of electric machines for the national economy - the Order of the Red Banner of Labor; in 1999 - by the Decree of the President of the PMR for the great contribution to the development of the industrial complex of the republic, the active work of the team for the protection, formation and development of the PMR and in connection with the 40th anniversary of the plant from strengthening and developing economic and scientific and technical potential of the republic, the electric machine-building industry of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and in connection with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the research and production closed joint-stock company "Electromash" - the Order of Labor Glory.

НП ЗАО «Электромаш» является одним из крупнейших производителей электрооборудования для предприятий топливно-энергетического комплекса, добывающих, перерабатывающих отраслей промышленности и энергетики. Предприятием разработано и освоено более 600 типов и модификаций взрывозащищённых и общепромышленных асинхронных электродвигателей, синхронных электродвигателей и генераторов, стабилизаторов напряжения и трансформаторов, а также свыше 70 видов изделий электробытового и хозяйственного назначения. Электрооборудованием производства НП ЗАО «Электромаш» оснащены угольные шахты основных угледобывающих бассейнов стран СНГ, предприятия нефтяной и газовой промышленности, нефтегазопроводы, тепло- вые и атомные электростанции. На заводе по- стоянно по всем направлениям ведутся как модернизация серийно выпускаемых изделий, так и разработка, и постановка на производство новых серий. В 2010 году поставлены как серийное производство новые серии взрывозащищенных двигателей ВАО7 и ВАСО7, взамен выпускаемых ВАО4 и ВАСО4. В новых сериях использованы оригинальные, как конструкторские, так и технологические решения, позволяющие получить определённые преимущества с аналогичными двигателями.
