Eletrobras

Eletrobras is a Brazilian corporation involved in solar power, renewable energy, hydropower, sustainability, and clean technology. The company is headquartered in Brasília and also operates from a location in Rio de Janeiro. Eletrobras was established in 1962 by Getúlio Vargas and is currently led by CEO Wilson Ferreira Junior.

The Federal government of Brazil is the parent organization of Eletrobras, making it an instance of both a company and an organization. Eletrobras trades on the New York Stock Exchange.

Eletrobras has several subsidiaries, including Eletronorte, CHESF, Eletronuclear, and Eletrobras Furnas.
