She was a queen consort , politician , and member of the aristocracy , famously known as the Electress of the Palatinate and briefly Queen of Bohemia . Elizabeth held citizenship in the United Kingdom , England , and Scotland . She was the daughter of King James VI and I and Anne of Denmark . She was named after Elizabeth I of England .

Elizabeth Stuart was the mother of several notable children, including Charles I Louis, Elector Palatine , Henry Frederick, Hereditary Prince of the Palatinate , Elisabeth of the Palatinate , Prince Rupert of the Rhine , Louise Hollandine of the Palatinate , Edward, Count Palatine of Simmern , Henriette Marie of the Palatinate , Charlotte of the Palatinate (1628–1631) , Philip Frederick of the Palatinate , Maurice of the Palatinate , and Gustavus Adolphus of the Palatinate .

Elizabeth's descendants include Sophia of Hanover , who was the mother of George I of Great Britain.
