Encrypted Investments is a micro VC firm investing in blockchain projects.
On the 26th of November 2021, Encrypted Investments invested in Astra Guild Ventures. The investment, a Series A funding round, was valued at $3M. The firm has also invested in the following:
- Soldex: A third generation crypto exchange built on SOLANA
- ADALEND: A decentralized lending protocol governed by DAO and built on CARDANO
- SPORTFI: The Sportfi ecosystem is a combination of NFT gaming and DeFi
- Astra Guild Ventures: The AGV is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) investing in NFTs, P2E games, and other blockchain projects
- Realms of Ethernity: A World of Warcraft inspired Web3 multiplayer online simulation game (MMOSG) built on POLYGON by Blue Monster Games Inc
- DigiCorp Labs: This is the operational company of the DigiMetaVerse and DGMV Token
- VAIL: An online, multiplayer shooter for virtual reality focused on tactical gunplay and combat

The firm's common pool works like traditional mutual funds or hedge funds, and the collective funds from the pool are invested according to predetermined percentages and based on analysis by the team. The fund will utilize the assets in the form of staking and other methods to create additional return. The common pool investors are allocated units based on the Net Asset Value of the Common Pool, which changes daily based on the total asset value of the pool. An entry fee of 2.5% is charged on investments. For exits, a 5% fee is charged on the profits received during the holding period.
Every month, a management fee of 0.5% p.a. is charged and it is calculated based on the NAV of the fund, considering the cut-off time on the last day of the month. Management fees were waived till December 2022, and changes in fees are announced in advance. For the valuation of private sale investments:
- Unlisted Investments: Investments in tokens before listing are valued at cost until listed.
- Listed Investments: On listing of the tokens bought in private sale, the tokens are valued at prevailing market rates.
- Tokens in vesting period (post listing) – Tokens already vested as part of private sale agreement are valued at 80% of the prevailing market rates to cover any contingent losses that may occur.
On the 6th of December, Encrypted Investments announced strategic partnerships with two capital firms in the blockchain space called Excalibur and HashVerse. The objective of the partnership was to support organizations building digital economies in web3.0.
