Is an American rock band, founded in 1995 by vocalist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody.
The band achieved great popularity in early 2003 with the release of the album Fallen, which sold about 15 million copies and brought the band two Grammy awards. In 2004, Evanescence's first live album Anywhere but Home was released. In 2006, a second studio album, The Open Door, was released, selling about 6 million copies.
After the release of the second album, the band temporarily retired from the scene. Between 2009 and 2011, only a few concerts were played and the only virtual single "Together Again" was released, the proceeds of which went entirely to charity to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti[8]. In 2011 the next Evanescence album was on sale, and in the same year the band resumed their concert activity.
