Abstract
FastVDO will develop a software testbed to simulate communications of full motion video over wireless links. In particular, FastVDO will study the effects of channel errors on the transmission of compressed video, specifically with H.264 and H.265 compression. The received video will be analyzed for quality using a variety of tools and metrics, and a quantitative analysis will be made of the error resilience capabilities of these codecs.
