Italian physicist and electrical engineer
Federico Faggin is an Italian physicist, computer scientist, businessperson, and engineer, born on December 1, 1941 in Vicenza, Italy. Faggin received his education from the University of Padua. He has made significant contributions to the field of technology and has founded multiple companies throughout his career, including Zilog and Synaptics. Faggin's accomplishments have earned him recognition and he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1996.
