Filippo Inzaghi, also known as Pippo, Superpippo, and Pippogol, was born on August 9, 1973, in Piacenza, Italy. He is an Italian citizen and is known as a footballer and coach. During his career as a player, Inzaghi played as a striker and later became a football manager.
Throughout his career, Inzaghi received numerous awards and recognitions. These include being named the Italian League Top Scorer, Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, and winning multiple championships with clubs such as Juventus, Milan, and Venice. He also found success with the Italian national team, winning the European Youth Championship in 1994, becoming a European vice-champion in 2000, and a World Champion in 2006.
Inzaghi was named the Best Young Footballer of the Year in Italy in 1997. He also received the title of Best Player of the Champions League Final in 2006/07 and won the Gaetano Scirea Prize in 2007. As a manager, he achieved success with Benevento, winning Serie B in 2019/20, and receiving the Silver Bench Trophy for the same season. He was awarded the Collare d'oro al merito sportivo in 2006 and the Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2007.
Filippo Inzaghi is the son of Giancarlo Inzaghi and Marina Inzaghi.
