Finpedia is a Bengaluru-based company that has developed a financial aggregator that serves to connect financial institutions with users who are seeking loans. Finpedia developed its aggregator using technology such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and big data. The company was founded in 2019 and has a Finpedia app that can be utilized by customers. The app was developed by JT India, a subsidiary of Jianpu Technology.
The Finpedia app can be downloaded for free on Android devices through the Google Play Store. Users can log in using a mobile number and go through the verification process. Once a user is verified, they will be presented with a variety of loan providers from which they can choose. Users can choose a loan provider based on their own preference, and the Finpedia app connects them with the financial institution to continue with the loan application process. Loans can be provided through personal loans or virtual credit cards. Each loan partner has a different interest rate and loans range from approximately $25 to $2,500 USD. Terms and conditions for the loans are based on the financial institution that is offering the loan and not Finpedia. Finpedia itself does not actually offer any loans, but acts as a medium to find loan providers.
