Florida A&M University

Florida A&M University (official name: Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University) is a public university located in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1887 as a historically black college and university. The university is part of the State University System of Florida, with the Florida A&M University Developmental Research School and Florida A&M University College of Law as its subsidiaries. It is also affiliated with the Florida A&M University – Florida State University College of Engineering.

The university's motto is "Excellence With Caring".
