Formation

Formation, formerly known as Takt, is a technology company offering a customer goals management and business intelligence platform that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2015 by Ammon Haggerty, Christian Selchau-Hansen, Jason Hickner, and Ryan Hickner. The companies platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to help companies change customer behavior and engage with customized company offers by analyzing company data, contextual data, and a customers previous actions.

On July 25, 2016 Formation completed their seres A funding round with $30 million in funding from BCG Digital Ventures (lead investor) and Starbucks. The company plans on using their series A funding to further develop its customer goals management platform to boost the companies growth. At the time of announcing their series A funding, Formation also announced they will be working with Starbucks to improve the personalization on their customer rewards program.
