Francis Hutcheson (philosopher)

Francis Hutcheson was a philosopher, economist, and writer born on August 8, 1694, in Ulster. He was a citizen of the Kingdom of Great Britain. Hutcheson received his education at the University of Glasgow.

Among his prominent doctoral students was Adam Smith. Hutcheson had a child named Francis Hutcheson, who was a songwriter.

Francis Hutcheson, the philosopher, died in Glasgow on August 8, 1746.
