Frank Darabont

Frank Darabont (born Ferenc Árpád Darabont on January 28, 1959) is a screenwriter, film producer, film director, writer, and television producer based in the United States. He was born in Montbéliard and attended Hollywood High School.

Frank Darabont has directed multiple notable films, such as The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Majestic (film), The Mist (film), and The Woman in the Room. He is also the creator of the popular television series The Walking Dead and has directed episodes from its various seasons.

As a writer, Darabont has authored screenplays for films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Blob, The Fly II, and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. He has also worked on television projects like Tales from the Crypt, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and Mob City. Darabont's notable works include The Fan, Eraser, Saving Private Ryan, Collateral, Law Abiding Citizen, Godzilla (2014 film), and The Huntsman: Winter's War.
