Frank Wedekind

Frank Wedekind (born July 24, 1864, in Hanover) was a German playwright, writer, journalist, screenwriter, actor, author, and poet. He held citizenship in Germany, and eventually passed away on March 9, 1918, in Munich.

Wedekind studied at the University of Zurich, the University of Lausanne, and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Throughout his career, he used the pseudonym Hugo von Trenck.
