Frederick Banting was a Canadian physician born on November 14, 1891, in Alliston, Ontario. He attended the University of Toronto and was known for being the co-discoverer ofApp of insulin. Banting was awarded the 1923 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2004. His area of academic discipline was in the field of Physiology or Medicine. Frederick Banting passed away on February 21, 1941, in Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland.
