Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange, was born on January 29, 1584, in Delft, Netherlands, to parents William the Silent and Louise de Coligny. Throughout his life, he held several titles and occupations, including Politician, Officer (armed forces), Prince, Count, Baron, Lord, and Viscount.
Notably, he was also known as the sovereign prince of Orange and stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Guelders, Overijssel, as well as the stadtholder of Groningen. Frederick Henry died at the age of 63 on March 14, 1647, in The Hague, Netherlands.
He had several children, including William II, Prince of Orange, Maria of Nassau (1539–1599), Countess Louise Henriette of Nassau, Frederick Nassau de Zuylestein, Countess Albertine Agnes of Nassau, Countess Henriette Catherine of Nassau, and Maria of Orange-Nassau (1642–1688). Frederick Henry owned the Huis ten Bosch palace during his life.
He held Dutch citizenship and was a national of the Netherlands.
