Frederick W. Sturckow

Frederick W. Sturckow, also known as Rick or CJ, was born on November 8, 1961, in La Mesa, California. He holds citizenship in the United States. Sturckow attended Grossmont High School and later studied at California Polytechnic State University. He also received education at the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program.

His occupations include being an officer in the armed forces and an astronaut. Throughout his career, Sturckow has received several awards such as the Defense Superior Service Medal, Air Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Medal, and NASA Space Flight Medal.
