GE Ventures is a venture capital firm established since 2013. The firm is a subsidiary of General Electric. The firm primarily operates from Menlo Park, California, although it also has offices in Boston, Massachusetts; Houston, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Shanghai, China; and Tel Aviv, Israel. As of February 2019, the firm manages 118 companies in its portfolio and has sold off its shares in 60 companies. Its most recent investment was for Xage Security in January 2019, a company providing block-chain protected security platform services.
