GAL is the name of the only official Galatasaray Fan Token. Fan Tokens are digital assets that never expire. Think of them as your traditional membership, only with voting rights on official club decisions, unrivalled access to your team and incredible once in a lifetime experiences. Nevermind. Don’t think of them as a traditional membership.
Galatasaray will use the Socios.com App as a platform for Fan Token holders to have their say on official club decisions. The polls run are up to the club, but the decision made by fans is final. In the past, Fan Token holders of other clubs have voted on a host of things, including kit designs, bus designs, official team motto, and even starting XI.
You can only vote once per poll, but the weight of your vote is defined by the number of Fan Tokens you own. For example, if you own 10 Fan Tokens, your vote will count as 10. Each poll is capped at a number of Fan Tokens determined by the club.
$GAL Fan Token holders will have VIP access to all home league, cup and European matches. But that’s just for starters. From signed memorabilia to watching a match with your favourite club legend or flying with the team to an away match, the sky is really the limit. You can earn Fan Rewards by participating in quizzes, games and club decisions on the Socios.com App.
Just like your passion for the club, Fan Tokens are forever. Once you acquire them, they are yours to use over and over again. Even after numerous votes and Fan Rewards, you retain all your $GAL Fan Tokens. No weekly, monthly or yearly re-subscription is required.
About Galatasaray
Galatasaray Sports Club was founded in 1905 by the students of Galatasaray Lycee in the Beyoglu area of Istanbul. With their fiery yellow and red color palette and a tradition of intimidation on the pitch, the club has more than earned its nickname – the “Lions”. 22-time winners of the Turkish Super League (most recently in the ‘18/’19 season) Galatasaray are also the only Turkish club to have claimed the UEFA Cup & Super Cup when they reigned supreme in 2000.
