Overview

GamingFrog is the developer of a platform for competitive video gaming for individuals and communities. The company's platform provides single and multiplayer gaming facilities to both professionals and non-professionals. The company's stated mission is to bring esports and competitive video gaming to all video games. To do this, the company's platform offers the same features to professional and non-professional gamers, to allow all users to compete in a simpler and organized way.

Platform

GamingFrog's platform allows users to challenge others to play games for real money. The platform works with gamers on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and once the gamers are in a game with each other, they match on the platform for their stake, report the results of the game to the platform, and the money is deposited with the winner. The platform also offers other ways to win, such as through multiplayer tournaments and monthly leaderboard challenges. The most popular game on the platform is Electronic Arts' FIFA 22. With other games on the platform including FIFA 20, FIFA 21, and Madden 21.

Match fees

GamingFrog points out the the platform is legal in the majority of the United States, as it is based on games of skill and competitions amongst players, rather than games of chance. The competitions are available in around forty-four US states, except in Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Maryland, North Dakota, and Tennessee. As well, for a single match or a tournament, GamingFrog takes 15 percent of each player's entry fee, and the fee rounds to the nearest 0.5.

Results and disputes

When a match is accepted between players, the players have two hours to play the match. If neither player reports a result within two hours of the match being confirmed, the match is considered abandoned. The platform allows two players to replay each other in the case of abandoned match, but it has to be under a new match. As well, a player has to confirm or challenge the results of a match in thirty minutes of the initial score report, which is to prevent sore losers from not reporting a score and holding up the game pool moving to a winner.

Furthermore, in cases of a disputed match, GamingFrog requires the player claiming that their opponent has broken a match rule or has reported an incorrect result to present evidence in either videos or photos. When no evidence is presented, a claim is considered null or invalid.
