Gennady Zyuganov

Gennady Zyuganov (born 26 June 1944) is a Russian politician and member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which he founded. He holds citizenship in both the Soviet Union and Russia . Zyuganov was born in Sverdlovsky District, Oryol Oblast, and is of Russian nationality .

In addition to his political career, Zyuganov has a diverse background in education and occupation. He is educated at Oryol State University and the Academy of Public Administration . As for occupations, he is a physicist , a perennial candidate , and has served as military personnel .

Over the years, Gennady Zyuganov has been the recipient of numerous awards. Some of these include the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th class ; Stolypin medal, 2nd class ; Order of Alexander Nevsky ; Order of Friendship ; and the Order of Glory and Honor .
