George Grove (born August 13, 1820 in Clapham, and died May 28, 1900 in Sydenham) was a music writer from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He is notable for founding the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and is best known for his work, The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.
