Lithuanian artist
George Maciunas (born 8 November 1931 in Kaunas, Lithuania) was an artist, architect, art dealer, and painter, best known as the founder of the Fluxus art movement. He held citizenship in both Lithuania and the United States, with his nationality being the United States.
Throughout his career, Maciunas held various occupational roles including being an artist, architect, art dealer, and painter. He was also the creator of the Danish tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
George Maciunas passed away on 9 May 1978 in Boston.
