George Sand

George Sand was a French writer, journalist, playwright, novelist, and composer born in Paris on July 1, 1804 . Sand used the pseudonym George Sand throughout her career . Her diverse body of work includes notable literary pieces such as "La Mare au Diable," "Mauprat," "Histoire de ma vie (George Sand)," "La Petite Fadette," "Lelia," and "A Winter in Majorca" .

Throughout her life, Sand was not only a prolific and versatile writer , but she was also a composer . She held French citizenship and had a son named Maurice Sand .

George Sand passed away in the town of Nohant-Vic on June 8, 1876 .
