George Westinghouse (6 October 1846 – 12 March 1914) was an American engineer, entrepreneur, and inventor. He was born in New York City and held citizenship in the United States . Westinghouse was educated at Union College and had an illustrious career, where he held occupations such as an engineer , inventor , and entrepreneur([(77235005)]77234806).
He was the founder of Westinghouse Electric Company and WABCO Vehicle Control Systems . George Westinghouse was the father of another George Westinghouse and also a son of George Westinghouse . In recognition of his numerous accomplishments, Westinghouse was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1989 .
