George Zweig is a physicist and neuroscientist born on May 30, 1937, in Moscow . He holds citizenship in the United States . Zweig was educated at the University of Michigan and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) . He also studied at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts . His doctoral thesis, titled "Two topics in elementary particle physics: 1. The reaction photon-neutron going to (pion-nucleon) at high energies. 2. K leptonic decay and partially conserved currents," was supervised by renowned physicist Richard Feynman .
