Gerald Guralnik

Gerald Guralnik (September 17, 1932 – April 26, 2014) was an American physicist born in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He held United States citizenship and was educated at Harvard University. His occupation was as a physicist, and he made notable contributions to the field of particle physics.

Guralnik had a strong academic lineage, having studied under doctoral advisor Walter Gilbert at Harvard University. He also mentored a generation of future scientists, with Kyriakos Tamvakis being one of his doctoral students.

Gerald Guralnik passed away on April 26, 2014, in Providence, Rhode Island. Throughout his life, he made a substantial impact in the world of physics and mentored many aspiring scientists.
