Giorgos Seferis

Giorgos Seferis was a Greek poet, diplomat, writer, and translator. He was born on March 13, 1900, in İzmir, Turkey, and died on September 20, 1971, in Athens, Greece. Seferis was a pseudonym, and his real name was Γιώργος Σεφέρης.

Seferis studied at Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris and held Greek nationality. He was known for his work as a poet and diplomat, predominantly in Greece. Seferis received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1963, a prestigious award recognizing his contribution to literature.
