Italian astronomer
Giovanni Antonio Amedeo Plana (1781-1864) was an Italian astronomer, mathematician, and politician[(2204593)]. Born on November 6, 1781, in Voghera[(6456695)], Plana received his education at the Polytechnic School[(2204594)]. He was a citizen of the Kingdom of Italy[(10223411)]. Throughout his career, he had the privilege of being supervised by prominent mentors such as Joseph-Louis Lagrange and Joseph Fourier during his doctoral studies[(36308776)]. Giovanni Plana passed away in Turin on January 20, 1864[(6456696)].
