Glance is a consumer internet company that shows personalized content on the lock screens of Android smartphones. The app creates personalized content, such as news, sports, entertainment, and video games, and is available in languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bahasa. The platform has over 150 million active users in India and Southeast Asia as of March 2022. These users spend around twenty-five minutes daily consuming content related to sports, news, entertainment, fashion, gaming, travel, and wildlife. The company is headquartered in Singapore and has been funded by Jio Platforms, Google, and Mithril Capital.
Glance's founders are Naveen Tewari, Piyush Shah, Abhay Singhal, and Mohit Saxena. Tewari has a Bachelor's degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT) and a Master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He has been involved in the beginnings of around thirty start-ups in India and also founded a US-based non-profit called India School Fund, which funds and sets up schools in rural India. Shah is the current president and COO at Glance. He is an investor in over twenty start-ups focused on new-age enterprise SaaS, India-focused consumer tech, EdTech, and HealthTech. He has an MBA in strategy and marketing from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and a Bachelor's in engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. Singhal is the CEO of InMobi Marketing Cloud. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT) and is based in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to cofounding InMobi, Saxena managed technology operations at Virgin Mobile. He has his Bachelor's degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
