Gloria Swanson (born as Gloria May Josephine Swanson on 27 March 1899 in Chicago and died on 4 April 1983 in New York City) was a well-known actor and film producer from the United States. She held American nationality and was the daughter of Joseph A. Swanson.
Swanson received her education at Lake View High School in Chicago. During her illustrious career, she received numerous awards, including the Golden Globes, USA, Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists, Jussi Awards, Walk of Fame, National Board of Review, and Telluride Film Festival.
Gloria Swanson was also the author of Sadie Thompson, showcasing her talent as a writer as well and contributing to her successful career in the entertainment industry.
