Greeks (Greek Έλληνες - Hellenes, pronounced Hellenes) - a people that formed in the extreme southeast of Europe in the first millennium BC. e., currently constitutes the main population of Greece and Cyprus.
They speak Greek, which is part of the Greek subgroup of the Paleo-Balkan languages of the Indo-European language family.
