Gustav I of Sweden was born on May 12, 1496, at Rydboholm Castle and was the child of Erik Johansson Vasa and Cecilia Månsdotter. Gustav held Swedish citizenship and was educated at Uppsala University. He worked as a politician and was the father of several children, including Charles IX of Sweden, Eric XIV of Sweden, John III of Sweden, Princess Cecilia of Sweden, Magnus, Duke of Östergötland, Princess Sophia of Sweden, and Princess Elizabeth of Sweden.
Gustav I founded Uppsala Castle and is considered an instance of a person. He passed away on September 29, 1560, in Stockholm, Sweden.
