Initially, the company was created to produce simplified Mazda models intended for consumers from South Asia. The firm received a name from the merger of the first letters of the name of Hainan Island, where the production is located, and, Mazda Corporation. Even the icon is visually similar to the symbol of a well-known brand with a schematic image of the God of wisdom, life and light Akhur.
