Hans Fischer was born on July 27, 1881, in Höchst (Frankfurt am Main) . Fischer was known as a chemist, biochemist, and professor. He received his education at the University of Lausanne, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Technical University of Munich, and University of Marburg.
Fischer held citizenship in Germany, German Empire, Weimar Republic, and Nazi Germany. His doctoral advisor was Emil Fischer, and he supervised doctoral students such as Magnus von Braun, Werner Zerweck, and Alfred E. Treibs.
Fischer was a well-regarded figure in the field of chemistry. He received the 1930 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and was also awarded the Davy Medal for his contributions to chemistry .
Hans Fischer passed away on March 31, 1945, in Munich.
