Harman/Kardon was founded in 1953 by Sydney Harman and Bernard Cardon. Harman/Kardon’s origin story is typical of American companies focused on Hi-Fi aparteur production. It was necessary to find a product that does not have other producers and that is interesting to the consumer.
The first model the company offered to the public was the VHF tuner. Since 1954, Harman/Kardon has focused on improving home systems, combining extraordinary industrial design, state-of-the-art technology, careful design and excellent sound quality.
