Harold Ramis was an American comedian, film director, writer, screenwriter, and film producer. He was born Harold Allen Ramis on November 21, 1944, in Chicago and later died in the same city on February 24, 2014. Ramis held citizenship in the United States.
He attended Senn High School and then pursued higher education at Washington University in St. Louis. Throughout his career, Ramis was involved in various film and television projects. He is known for creating the TV show The Real Ghostbusters, and he directed the 1993 film Groundhog Day. Ramis was also a board member of both Analyze This and Groundhog Day, which he also created.
Harold Ramis directed several other films throughout his career, including Bedazzled (2000), Analyze That, and A Benihana Christmas. Additionally, Ramis directed episodes for the popular TV series The Office, such as Safety Training and Beach Games.
