Heartland Ventures aims to deliver a boost to the economic development of the American Midwest. Other target outcomes include helping startup expansion, new employment, national attention, importing high growth startups into the region that aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from, bring investment and create more technology-related jobs.
Heartland Ventures coinvests alongside other venture capital firms looking to expand to Indiana. From launch in 2016 to 2019 the firm invested in five portfolio companies and in February 2019 was closing its first fund. Investments include Indiana edtech company Mimir and Los Angeles-based law enforcement tech SpiderTech.
