Hedwig of Silesia (1174-1243) was a German noblewoman born in Andechs, Germany. She was the daughter of Berthold, Duke of Merania, and Agnes of Rochlitz. Hedwig was married and became the mother of two known children: Henry II the Pious and Konrad the Curly. She held German citizenship throughout her life. Hedwig passed away on October 15, 1243, in Trzebnica.
