Heinrich Zschokke

Heinrich Zschokke (1771-1848) was a person born in Magdeburg, Germany and later became a citizen of Switzerland. He held various occupations throughout his life, such as a writer, politician, novelist, historian, and playwright. Zschokke also used the pseudonym "Verfasser des Abällino". He was educated at the Viadrina European University.

During his lifetime, Zschokke authored numerous literary works, one of which includes "The Broken Jug". He passed away on June 27, 1848, in Aarau.
