Heinrich von Kleist

Heinrich von Kleist (18 October 1777 – 21 November 1811) was a German playwright, poet, novelist, writer, and journalist. Born in Frankfurt (Oder), he later died in Berlin. Kleist held German citizenship.

Kleist was educated at the Viadrina European University. Throughout his career, he authored multiple notable works, including "The Marquise of O", "Penthesilea (Kleist)", "The Broken Jug", "Das Käthchen von Heilbronn", "Die Hermannsschlacht (Kleist)", "The Prince of Homburg", "The Earthquake in Chile", and "Michael Kohlhaas".
