Henry Augustus Rowland

Henry Augustus Rowland (born November 27, 1848, in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, and died on April 16, 1901, in Baltimore) was a physicist from the United States . He was educated at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and later worked under doctoral advisor Hermann von Helmholtz .

During his career, Rowland supervised the doctoral studies of notable physicists such as Henry A. Bumstead and Harry Fielding Reid . His contributions to the field of physics reached many researchers and students, and he left a lasting impact on scientific knowledge and advancements.
