American activist
Henry Browne Blackwell (1825-1909) was an American suffragette and activist. Born in Bristol on May 4th, 1825, Blackwell held citizenship in the United States. He played a significant role in the women's suffrage movement, which sought to establish equal voting rights for women.
Blackwell was the father of Alice Stone Blackwell, a prominent feminist and suffragist. He passed away on September 7th, 1909, in Dorchester, a neighborhood in Boston.
