King henry i of england (c.1068–1135)
Henry I of England , also known as Henry I Beauclerc , was born in 1068 in Selby . He was the child of William the Conqueror and Matilda of Flanders . His occupations included being a writer and a king . Henry was the founder of the Bishop of Carlisle .
Henry I had an extensive list of children, including Empress Matilda, Robert, 1st Earl of Gloucester, and William Adelin . Other notable children were Reginald de Dunstanville, 1st Earl of Cornwall, Sybilla of Normandy, and Richard of Lincoln . He was also the father of Sybilla of Normandy .
In addition to his roles as a writer and king, Henry I owned Bedford Castle . His life came to an end on December 1, 1135, in Lyons-la-Forêt .
