Henry Way Kendall (1926-1999) was a physicist born in Boston. He held citizenship in the United States. Kendall received education at multiple institutions, including Amherst College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Deerfield Academy.
In his career as a physicist, Kendall worked with doctoral advisor Martin Deutsch and doctoral student Arie Bodek. In 1990, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics. Kendall passed away in Florida in 1999.
In addition to his scientific accomplishments, Kendall was a founder of the Union of Concerned Scientists, an organization located in the United States.
