Hitachi Consulting is an international management and technology consulting firm with headquarters in Dallas, Texas. It was founded in 2000 as subsidiary of the Japanese Hitachi Group and currently employs approximately 4,000 people in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
In January, 2020 Hitachi Consulting combined with Hitachi, Ltd.'s wholly-owned subsidiary Hitachi Vantara under the name Hitachi Vantara. The combination was to try and create a larger digital innovation partner for their customers, especially in the areas of data center, data operations and enterprise digital transformation. The new Hitachi Vantara combines Hitachi Consulting's consulting-led digital solutions and industry experience with Hitachi Vantara's IT domain experience. On the combination of Hitachi Consulting and Hitachi Vantara, CEO and Chairman of Hitachi Vantara, Toshiaki Tokunaga said:

Hitachi Consulting was founded when Hitachi Ltd. acquired Grant Thornton LLP's Chicago-based information technology and strategy consulting practice. At the time of the initial acquisition, Hitachi Consulting was named Experio Solutions. The name was maintained until the Hitachi name was licensed in 2003.
