Hugh Everett III (born November 11, 1930, in Washington, D.C., and died July 19, 1982, in McLean, Virginia) was an American mathematician and physicist, best known for his work in quantum mechanics. He was a citizen of the United States.
Everett completed his undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America and received his Ph.D. from Princeton University. His doctoral advisor was John Archibald Wheeler.
