Ike Turner

Ike Turner (born Izear Luster Turner Jr.) was an American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor with multiple occupations including guitarist, pianist, bandleader, and saxophonist. Turner was born on November 5, 1931, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and held United States citizenship.

Throughout his career, Turner was involved in various music genres, such as rhythm and blues, funk, soul music, blues, and funk rock. He was active in both the music and music industry.

Turner was known to use pseudonyms during his career, such as Eki Renrut and Icky Renrut. He had at least one child, Ronnie Turner.

Ike Turner passed away on December 12, 2007, in San Marcos, California.
