Incuvers has a mission to visualize, connect, and explore every moment of cellular research. They sell telemetric chambers, which are devices that simultaneously incubate cell cultures, while capturing constant live imaging and data. This flagship product is called IRIS (Incuvers Real-time Imaging System). The system allows users to capture time lapse videos and monitor cells while incubated, as well as design automated protocols for environmental conditions.
Dr. Sebastian Hadjiantoniou, and Dr. Andrew Pelling founded Incuvers in 2018, and the company is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Incuvers originally made a name for itself and developing an open source CO2 incubator, which was produced in two models, the Model 1 and the Model 1 Tri-Gas. These incubators are much smaller than industry standard which allows users to lower contamination risk, and ensure more stable CO2, O2, and temperature levels at a lower cost. The software used to run Model 1 and Model 1 Tri-Gas follow the principles of Open Firmware which allows all users to customize their machines as they see fit.
