Two main types of ink can be distinguished for the above tasks:
1 . Water ink.
2 . Pigmented ink.
There are also other types of ink, such as sublimation, solvent, food and others.
So, let’s start by looking at what the common ink is. It’s a very complex multi-component chemical. The main components of the ink are solvent , color , and various modifiers and stabilizers of chemical and physical properties.
Deionized water is used as a solvent (do not confuse with distilled water) - this water contains no impurities, in fact, it has a purity of almost 100%.
Synthetic organic dyes or pigments can be used as colorants. A hairdresser is a chemical that is completely dissolved in water. Pigment is a colored substance that is not soluble in water and black in the form of very small solids.
In addition to deionized water and paints, inkjet ink can contain up to 20 components that ensure stable printhead performance and correct color transmission. Such a large number of components is due to the great complexity of physical and chemical processes, the management of ink flow and application and the need to manage them literally with jewelry accuracy. The characteristics of each individual ink manufacturer are generally very different.
The main quality criteria of inkjet ink :
1 . viscosity
3 . Acidity
4 . Conductivity
5 . Color absorption
